How Great We Are

One of the biggest misconceptions of “modern” man is that many of us think our “age” is the enlighten age. We are the progressive modern individuals whose thinking has evolved and expanded where we see all and comprehend all. We believe we have arrived at the higher conscious level. This assumed higher conscious level brings a tolerance of behavior thinking that allows what was once considered inappropriate, immoral conduct as “normal” behavior. This new “conscious also twist and tweaks our ethics. The “new” enlighten thinker views these as archaic, outdated and non “free” thinking. The “new” man looks to science of physical and psychological nature to explain his rational. The more the behavior is tolerated the more it is accepted as normal.
Man, are we full of ourselves or what. How gutless are we to tolerate behavior we know in our hearts is wrong. What’s that saying, Evil exists because “good” people don’t do anything.
Here is a NEWS Flash. We are not the first ones in the whole age of humanity to say that we are the enlighten ones. No, how dare they think they are at where we are today. Well they certainly did. Maybe they were more so. Check out history. Nothing is new there. The Bible is a great source. Whoops ruffled some feathers there. Read it as a history book and see what happens to people who get the high and mighty attitude. Read ancient history – heck read back 60 years ago. They thought they are beyond any moral obligation. They (Nazi’s) rewrote the moral code. Guess what happened to them. Whoa, John we are much more enlighten then that. I guess then we will prove the historians right, it will repeat itself. The Bible is right there telling us and warning us. Each age is different as far as technology is concerned but the message is ageless. When we begin to believe we are a god then our doom is inevitable. The Bible has so many accounts of this happening over and over again. In the Old Testament the Israelites, who became so prideful in themselves, thinking that they can control their destiny, were decimated time after time. Their story is so much like ours. We see by the accounts in the bible and history books what happens. Are we going to listen and heed or pretend that we are too enlighten for this to happen and this is a “different” time.
